That's good to know - the industry as a whole benefits hugely from Match's advertising in the UK - it continually raises the social acceptability of online dating as a whole and drives people online.

A lot of our partners are set to triple their usual spend between Christmas and the end of January to take advantage of the raised awareness and desire for online dating - will be interesting to see what happens this year and whether the recent unusual upturn that our sites have seen against a backdrop of economic gloom continues through Christmas and New Year - I certainly hope so!!

Thanks Ross, we're committed to continued investment but definitely cautious about the economic climate. We hope that the enhanced tools on Match and the relative value of the product overall still make the proposition attractive. Intuitively you'd think that in tough economic times people need relationships more than ever.
